Lake Calhoun’s name change to Bde Maka Ska was finalized by the DNR in January 2018. The new name reflects its original Dakota name. The lake is a popular destination in Minneapolis’s Uptown neighborhood.
I made my way there for the first time since its name change on this beautiful Monday afternoon.
